MCOC Founders’ War Saga: Full Guide to Imperiosa & Eternal Midnight

A massive new Saga has officially begun in Marvel Contest of Champions! An eternal midnight has fallen over The Battlerealm, Summoner, marking the start of The Founders’ War. This three-month-long event (running from October 8th to January 7th) is the epic conclusion to the Eidolon storyline that has been building for the past year.

The Founders, the god-like creators of the Eidolons (Isophyne, Lumatrix, and Solvarch), are finally making their move. Their arrival is marked by a new, spooky theme and, most importantly, the arrival of the final Eidol, Imperiosa.

This is a huge event with multiple parts. Here is a complete breakdown of what you need to do, what the new quests are, and how to claim the ultimate prize.

New Champion: How to Get Imperiosa (The Final Eidol Chase)

The main prize of the Founders’ War Saga is Imperiosa, the pinnacle of Eidol creation. Unlike other champions, Imperiosa cannot be obtained from crystals or the arena (at least not for a long time).

Instead, you must earn her through the Eidol Chase.

What to Collect: You must collect a new special currency called Invade Essence.
How to Get Invade Essence: This currency will be available from the top-tier rewards in various events over the next three months (October, November, and December).

Where to Find It:

- Battlegrounds (Reaching Gladiator’s Circuit & Season Placement)
- Alliance Quest Raids (Regular & Nightmare)
- The Pavitr Prabhakar Double Track Event
- Incursions Saga Sector (December)
- Alliance War Encounter Showcase (November)

You will need 12 Shatter Essence (which you get from Invade Essence) to purchase the 7-Star Imperiosa and 5 Shatter Essence for the 6-Star. This is a long-term grind for dedicated players.

Main Event Quest: “Children of the Night”

This is this month’s main story quest, and it’s embraced the “eternal midnight” theme. Get ready for a monster mash!

Theme: The Battlerealm is plunged into darkness, and classic Marvel monsters are running wild.
Key Bosses: The main antagonists for this quest are Dracula and Franken-Castle.
Saga Boost: Champions with the new #Wrath or #Forbearance tags will get a significant Attack and Health boost in this quest.

This will be your primary source of standard monthly rewards and your first taste of the new Saga’s storyline.

Side Quest: “Hunger or Cure” Realm Event

This is this month’s side quest, and it’s a community-wide event where you must pick a side.

The Choice: An infection is spreading. You must choose to either join the “Hunger” (the infected) or fight for the “Cure” (the immunized). Once you take the Cure, you cannot go back!
How it Works: There are two competing “Realm Events,” one for each side. You earn points for your side by defeating champions across The Battlerealm.

Special Mechanics:

Infected Players (“Hunger”): Can destroy “Cure” items to gain a large number of points for the Hunger side.
Immunized Players (“Cure”): Can “gift” the Cure to other players (including those in your Alliance chat) to score a massive one-time point bonus for the Cure side.
The Stakes: The winning side (Hunger or Cure) at the end of the event will determine a special buff that will be active in November’s Event Quest and will unlock a special Relic Selector for the entire community.
